Celebrate Your Independence… TOO!

July 4th 1776 is a momentous day in history for all FREE Country’s across the Globe – AND so is the day we buy our own home!!! Owning Real Estate, especially your own home, is a sure fire Celebration of Independence.

In today’s market, many home owners really want to make a move, but are finding themselves in a catch 22 – whether to sell first or buy first. They don’t want to end up getting stuck owning two homes or none at all. I am sure you will join me in saying we can’t blame them. I also believe that you agree with me on this; home ownership is good for ALL.

The more who can buy a home, the more who can sell a home, the more our economy benefits. And as John F. Kennedy said, “a rising tide lifts all boats.”

Fortunately, I have a program for Homeowners wanting to move and Buyers wanting to buy in today’s market that turns the tables on this CATCH 22.

Over the last 15+ years of being in the real estate industry, I have been able to develop and successfully implement a program that allows me to guarantee the sale of a property. Yep, you read that right. Actually guarantee in writing the sale of a home. Obviously a program like this gives sellers GREAT PEACE OF MIND (a true celebration of independence from fear). I guarantee, up front and in writing, that if their home does not sell within 45 days – I will pay them $1500*.

Buyers benefit too, because we are able to ensure they get the home they want and back up their purchase with a satisfaction guarantee: if they are not happy with the home, we will sell it for FREE*. This obviously is a win-win for all involved.

This is where you come in.

Your friends, neighbors, work associates and family members who may be considering a move can now do so and celebrate true independence from the fear of getting stuck with two homes or none at all.

And remember… Your referrals help the Community!

As I share with you each month, we are on a mission to raise another $10,000 for the Second Harvest Food Bank. We do this by donating a portion of our income from homes we sell. We also take the time to volunteer as a Team to make a hands-on impact for children and families who are in need.

Second Harvest Food Bank does great work in aiming to end hunger by providing food access, advocacy, education and disaster response. BUT Second Harvest depends on Sponsorships and Donations to keep rolling. So, YOUR REFERRALS REALLY IMPACT THE COMMUNITY WITHIN NEW ORLEANS.

6 Tips to Keep Your Home Cool During the Summer Heat

In this hot New Orleans summer, it’s tempting to crank the AC or plant yourself in front of the nearest fan. But these aren’t the only tricks to keeping you cool. There are plenty of ways to keep your home cool WITHOUT racking up your electric bill.

  • Keep your blinds closed. 30 percent of unwanted heat comes from your windows, and utilizing shades, curtains, and the like can save you up to 7% on your bills and lower indoor temperatures by up to 20 degrees. This will help prevent your home from becoming a natural greenhouse.

  • Set your fans to rotate counter-clockwise. Whether you know it or not, your ceiling fan needs to be adjusted seasonally. Set it counter-clockwise in the summer at a higher speed and the fan’s airflow will create a wind-chill breeze effect that will make you and your guests feel cooler.

  • Do chores at night. Laundry machines throw off a lot of heat. The washer runs with hot water and driers use heated air witch inevitably escapes and radiates out of the machine. Dishwashers put out a lot of heat, too. Doing chores at night can ensure these appliances aren’t heating your home during the hottest parts of the day.

  • Turn on your bathroom fans. ...or the exhaust fan in your kitchen, for that matter. Both of these pull hot air that rises after you cook or take a steamy shower out of your home.

  • Skip the Oven/Stove & Grill More. Any usage of the oven or stove-top is going to heat your home. Why not grill outside instead? If you do use the stove, make sure to turn the fan on if it vents to the exterior.

  • Maximize your A/C. A programmable thermostat can help your A/C run smoother & more efficient. When you’re away, set your thermostat to 78 degrees, +/- 1 degree. Make sure you change your air filters to keep maximum efficiency.
